note: THIS WAS THE FIRST ATTEMPT. Please see future videos of mine because they are much better – even though they were just days apart from this one. I found that holding the camera manually on my handlebars was not the best method for promoting stability. It is still interesting and it was a creative experiment, so I'll keep it up for that reason as well as to show the process of improvement. I've been thinking about doing this for the past couple of weeks and so I set out today to snap some photos from my bike (and then make a video out of it). I manually took 882 pictures while holding a small Canon SD300 in my hands. This was a little experiment and I'm glad I did it. There is definitely some room for improvement, so keep in mind that this was a first stab. I'm not a photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but just a guy who loves to ride throughout my home town. I rode through the trails surrounding the "Stone Creek" neighborhood in Rancho Cordova and then I headed North on Kilgore to International. I cut through the "Capital Village" neighborhood in Rancho Cordova on the way back to my truck. I took off my odometerer, so I'm not sure the total distance, though I would guess around 4 miles at the most. As I noted in the video, sit back from your screen a bit to help your eyes out. Enjoy.
