what can you sue an s corporation for if they have no real assets such as property or equipment?

this question portains to the fact that i own a s corp . it is a small auto shop . 2 employees total . in the state in which i live you dont have to have workers comp insurance unless you have more that 3 employees. last week one of my emplyees came in to work with a swollen arm and said he hurt it the day before but he didnt tell me because he didnt notice it was hurt. can he sue me and how would he prove he hurt himself at work since he didnt tell me until the next day . he may not of hurt himself at work i dont know . but I know he has no health insurance because i offered it to him 2 months ago and he did not accept. I dont own the property my biz in on i rent and i only have some lifts and tools as assets. what is there to sue for ?

    this is a question way to detailed and important to you to be left to random folks o the internet. you need to speak to a local attorney.

    the business presumably has cash flow, and if YOU or other share holders have assets, plaintiffs can always attempt to pierce the corporate veil.

    even without assets, you can have a judgment sitting against you (or the corp) waiting to be paid…

    in any case, it sounds like you would do well to have an employee policy handbook drawn up, including among other things, when to imform about (even potential) injuries.
